city in flames

I look around
The summer  inhabits the acrid skins

                      Someone calls for water
I ungulate- the grass soothes my pace
I drip on their cups and smile.

I utter sounds
they look through
I go louder and louder
the light withers
there is no home

her face reddens as her ire explodes and request the presence of a true native speaker of her beloved Ennglish language.
